Blueflite, a U.S.-based manufacturer of advanced logistics drones, is taking a significant step toward fully autonomous drone delivery through its partnership with Spleenlab. By integrating Spleenlab’s cutting-edge VISIONAIRY® perception software into its hardware platform, blueflite is introducing a groundbreaking delivery drone solution poised to set a new standard in the logistics industry.

Despite the difficult market situation, Spleenlab closes 2023 extremely successfully. The number of prominent customers doubled, a significant increase in sales was recorded and, thanks to 14 new hires, almost 36 employees now work at the sites in Saalburg-Ebersdorf and Jena.

In December 2023, Spleenlab tested a completely new concept in the field of autonomous mobility for the first time. At the premises of BrigkAIR, a start-up incubator in Ingolstadt, ideas and proposals for the technical implementation were concretised and finalised by a team of engineers and creative minds.

Spleenlab’s approach is to break down the vision of fully autonomous flight into its sub-steps and fully automate these individual processes using AI-based applications. One of the most critical phases of autonomous flight is landing, where a large number of variable factors play a role.
