Since 2020, bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen GmbH (BMT) has been our main investor and a key strategic partner in building Spleenlab’s capabilities in AI software for autonomous systems.

Their long-term vision and commitment have culminated in the successful acquisition of Spleenlab by Quantum Systems. This step positions all parties for accelerated international growth and technological leadership.

We were honored by the presence of Thuringia’s Minister-President Mario Voigt, who expressed strong appreciation for Spleenlab’s outstanding achievements in AI. He emphasized his pride that Quantum Systems is strengthening both the Thuringian and German high-tech landscape through this acquisition, safeguarding and expanding highly qualified jobs while reinforcing Germany’s position in future-critical technologies.

For BMT, Spleenlab represents a true success story and a powerful example of how targeted public investment can enable startups to scale, create skilled employment, and retain university graduates within the region. Their role as an enabler of innovation-driven economic development in Thuringia cannot be overstated.

Martin Karkour CRO of Quantum Systems, highlighted the strategic importance of Spleenlab’s AI capabilities for autonomous unmanned systems and described the acquisition as a logical and forward-looking step. He reaffirmed Quantum Systems’ commitment with further investment in Thuringia.

The combination of Quantum Systems’ unmanned aerial and ground platforms with Spleenlab’s advanced AI software creates a technologically unique offering. It has the potential to shape the future of autonomous systems across defense, security, and civil applications.

This milestone demonstrates what can be achieved when visionary investors, strong political support, and deep-tech innovation come together.

The journey continues with even greater ambition.
